Ahahahaha...whoops.
So, I was teaching the third graders in elementary school the English names of shapes. When I got to “arrow,” there was a lot of giggling, gasping, and whispering. After I repeated it, I realized what it sounded like I was saying.
Ero (the word for “erotic” in Japanese).
Surprise Talia-sensei! Arrow and Ero sound too much a like to Japanese children.
At least I had a picture accompanied with what I was saying so they know I wasn’t talking about what they thought I was saying.
HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAA OH MY GOD the best part about screwing up while in Japan is that 99% of the time it’s a great story later
